Labyrinths are ancient mindfulness pathways that date back thousands of years.
Finger labyrinths recreate the experience of walking a labyrinth.
The Johannes Commelyn Finger Labyrinth is a modification of a garden maze designed by Commelyn in 1676.
The original pathway is not unicursal, possibly because it was intended to be a Dutch hedge labyrinth, or “Doolhof”, which is often multi-cursal.
The Commelyn Finger Labyrinth presented here is unicursal, and somewhat engaging, though the terminus is not in the center.
